LASH EXTENSION INFO

what to AVOID during the first 24 hours

The first 24 hours is the most crucial time for your new eyelash extensions to bond to your natural lashes. Not following post-treatment care will result in lash extension loss.

  • GETTING YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS WET. The first 24 hours, the extension needs to bond to the natural lash. allowing moisture to reach the lash extensions prior to the 24 hour wait time, will result in extension fallout.

  • NO MASCARA. You shouldn't need to apply mascara to your lash extensions at all, however, some clients choose too. During the first 24 hours, refrain from putting mascara on the extensions as they are still bonding and risk breaking/falling from the natural lash.

  • NO LASH TINTING, PERMING, OR USE OF LASH CURLERS.

  • NO STEAM OR SAUNAS.

what to AVOID after the first 24 hours

After the first 24 hours + proper post-treatment care, the lash extensions have fully bonded to the natural lash. However, there are still precautions needed to be taken to not experience damage to your natural lashes/experience fast extension fallout.

  • NO TUGGING, PICKING, OR RUBBING. The more you mess with the extensions, the more likely you will cause damage to your natural lashes.

  • NO OIL BASED CLEANSERS. Oil-based makeup removers will break the bond between the extension and your natural lash, resulting in extension fallout.

  • NO WATERPROOF MASCARA, EYELINER, ETC.

  • NO USE OF LASH CURLERS.

Lash Extension Upkeep

To keep your natural lashes underneath the extensions happy & strong, these steps need to be done DAILY after the first 24 hour period.

  • BRUSH THE LASHES TWICE A DAY WITH A MASCARA SPOOLIE. Brushing the lashes helps with tangling and breaking.

  • CLEANING YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS WITH THE RECOMMENDED PRODUCT. To keep bacteria from growing in between your lashes, they need to be kept clean daily. recommended washing is once a day unless eye makeup is applied, then you will need to cleanse the lashes thoroughly until makeup has been completely removed.

  • BE PROACTIVE IN YOUR LASH FILL INS.

please note that Glow Beauty Studio or Lash Extension Artist, Tara Barfield, is not responsible for the damage caused to the natural lashes of the client. At Home Care is crucial and should not be taken lightly.
